THE UNIVERSITY OF MELBOURNE

University is in strong partnership with the Aboriginal community in the Goulburn Valley.  The collaboration is shown through a number of initiatives including:

The Rural Health Academic Centre 
Visit Rural Health
They also have an active partnership with the Kaiela Institute to deliver the annual Dungala Kaiela Oration.
The 7th October 2011 saw the University sign a memorandum of understanding with the Kaiela Institute to formalise their partnership and the commitment to engage productively with the Indigenous community in the Goulburn Valley.

The University established Murrup Barak - Melbourne Institute for Indigenous Development in 2009, to increase the impact of the University of Melbourne's Indigenous programs and to maximise its contribution to Indigenous development.
