Jawun Indigenous Corporate Partnerships
For the past seven years in the Goulburn-Murray Jawun has partnered with local Aboriginal community organisations under the guidance of the Kaiela Institute. These organisations include:
• Koori Resource Information Centre • Kaiela Planning Council • Rumbalara Football Netball Club • Rumbalara Aboriginal Co-operative • Ganbina Koori Economic Employment and Training Agency • Munarra Youth Ventures • Academy of Sport, Health and Education • Yorta Yorta Nations • First Nations Foundation Jawun provides support to these organisations through a secondment program. Resources are brought in from leading Australian corporations which include to date: Wesfarmers, KPMG, QBE, Allens Arthur Robinson, Westpac and BHP Billiton. Staff work on practical and applied projects in the community over a period of 6 or 12 weeks, 3 times a year. |
